Micronics UF D5500 Fixed Clamp-on Flow Meter
The Micronics UF D5500 is a fixed, non-invasive clamp-on ultrasonic Doppler flow meter designed for monitoring dirty, aerated, and solids-bearing liquids. Ideal for applications including wastewater, sewage, chemicals, acids, slurries, abrasives, viscous liquids, lubricating oils, pulp stock, solvents, and crude oil, the UF D5500 provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for difficult flow measurement applications.
Designed for full pipes and liquids containing suspended solids or gas bubbles, the UF D5500 uses advanced Doppler ultrasonic technology to measure flow externally through the pipe wall. An acoustic signal is reflected back to the sensor from particles or bubbles suspended in the liquid, allowing accurate flow measurement without any contact with the process media.
The clamp-on sensor mounts easily to the outside of metal or plastic pipes from 12.7 mm to 4500 mm in diameter, eliminating the need for pipe cutting, drilling, or process shutdowns. Because the sensor never comes into contact with the liquid, there is no fouling, scaling, pressure drop, or ongoing maintenance associated with traditional inline flow meters.
Engineered for industrial reliability, the UF D5500 features enhanced digital signal processing for improved signal stability and noise immunity, a watertight IP66/NEMA4X enclosure, large backlit display, simple 5-key calibration system, built-in 26 million point data logger, and programmable control relays.
