Description
THIS LISTING IS FOR THE: CXL4CAT-D: C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tool with Data Logging
The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools can be used to detect underground pipes and cables. There are three models available:
- CXL4CAT: C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tool
- CXL4CAT-D: C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tool with Data Logging
- CXL4CAT-DBG: C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools with Data Logging, GPS and Bluetooth
Product Description:
Datalogging versions of the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools can record and store up to a year’s worth of data. Additionally, the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tool with integrated GPS will also keep a record of the locations it has been used; these areas can be viewed using Google Earth™ or Google Maps™. Both of the data logging models can transfer data wirelessly via a USB cable to a PC, tablet or smartphone; the Bluetooth-enabled CXL4CAT-DBG model can also transfer data via Bluetooth.
Once downloaded to a PC, tablet or smartphone, C Scope’s free-to-download Toolkit PC Software and Relay Smartphone App can be used to organise and analyse data in charts and graphs. GPS- and Bluetooth-enabled C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools can also be paired with third-party GPS survey equipment enabling ‘one pass’ underground utility surveys to be conducted.
The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools features a simultaneous dual-frequency (33kHz and 131kHz) output, increasing the number of buried services that can be energised and therefore detected. The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools are able to detect poorly earthed cables or cables with a small diameter. Additionally, optimised locator sensitivity and noise rejection mean the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools can detect the weakest of signals amongst high background noise.
The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools have four detection modes:
- Power
- Radio
- Generator
- All Scan
In addition to the above modes, the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools include the following functions:
- Alarm Zone: can be used to detect the presence of shallow pipes and cables; the limit can be adjusted by the user to suit the local requirements
- Peak Hold: for quickly and accurately pinpointing the location of buried services
- Dynamic Swing Sensor: alerts the user when CXL4 CAT Tool is being swung excessively as this can negatively affect its accuracy
The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools also perform an Automatic Daily Self-Test (ADST) to check the equipment is functioning and operating within its specified accuracies. The ADST is performed upon initial start-up; it checks the functionality of the locator and receiving aerials. The results of these tests are stored in the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools’ integrated memory and can be downloaded to a PC within the following twelve months. Once downloaded to a PC, these results can be used with the C Scope Toolkit Software to create a Product Validation Certificate. The C Scope Toolkit Software can also be used to view and print a copy of the C Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tool’s original calibration certificate.
The Automatic Daily Self-Test results are also indicated on the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools’ large, easy-to-read, backlit LCD protected by a polycarbonate lens. The detection mode, signal peak level, depth, signal strength and battery condition are also visible via this display.
Finally, the C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools have a robust, durable, IP65-rated design with a removable speaker for use in noisy environments.
The C. Scope CXL4 Cable Avoidance Tools are ergonomic, accurate and reliable pipe and cable detecting and locating instruments.
