The Chauvin Arnoux CA1510 Indoor Air Quality CO2 Logger is a portable tool designed to monitor and ensure a healthy environment through both audible and visual alerts. Accurate and compliant with the latest air quality monitoring standards, the CA1510 measures CO2, temperature and humidity with up to one million readings stored internally. Carbon dioxide is a colourless, odourless gas making it difficult to detect, it can be the cause of headaches, nausea and difficulty concentrating. Temperature and humidity can also be a reason for low air quality and contribute to mould spores in the environment. This CO2 logger from Chauvin Arnoux determines the quality of air based on Carbon Dioxide alone or in conjunction with relative humidity & temperature, simultaneously monitoring and recording all three values. Featuring an on-site calibration module with adaptor, tube and software this easy-to-use instrument comes complete with a 1,700ppm threshold and multiple mounting systems.

The air outside contains approx. 0.04% (400 ppm) of CO2, simple human activity such as breathing can raise indoor concentrations to 1,500 ppm. To ensure good indoor air quality levels and reduce the risk of infection via aerosols, appropriate ventilation systems must be used and maintained. The Chauvin Arnoux CA1510 is an excellent indicator of these air renewal systems. Functioning as a highly accurate preliminary diagnostic tool, this unit includes incorporated alerts for when CO2 levels reach 1000ppm or 1,700ppm in the air.

With a bright two-colour backlit display, the CA1510 presents three parameters simultaneously; temperature within a range of -10 °C to +60 °C, Carbon Dioxide between 0 to 5,000 ppm and Humidity from 5 to 95 % RH. To simplify the results for the user, integrated help offers interpretation of comfort levels based on CO2 and hydrothermal comfort criteria. This is available in two distinct modes:

• 1D Mode – Indication of CO2 confinement is given through visual cues (orange & red) and audible alarms should levels reach between 1,000ppm and 1,700ppm.
• 3D Mode – This setting incorporates both CO2 and hydrothermal comfort results

There is the option to lock the screen so no results are displayed while recording and recovering data is simple & easy as the product is recognised as a USB key.

For fixed and portable-use, the compact and stand-alone Chauvin Arnoux CA1510 Indoor Air Quality CO2 Logger features an array of mounting options. Equipped with a magnet it can be attached to any metal surface, a tabletop stand for easy transportation, it can be hung on a wall hook and finally is also supplied with a lockable wall holster to discourage theft. This IP40 rated unit can be powered by batteries, mains where possible or via a USB port, with a micro USB included as standard.

Software and Interface

The Chauvin Arnoux CA1510 comes complete with software for data processing and report generation. Connect the data logger to a PC through a USB cable, a wireless Bluetooth connection or to a smart device by utilising the Android-compatible CA1510 application available from Play Store.

Connect the CA1510 to another device to enable remote display and display data as a table of values or graph. Results can be exported directly into excel in order to calculate confinement indexes and generate professional quality reports. Through the Android app it is possible to view the data in real time on your personal mobile device. Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 & 10, the Data Logger Transfer software will also allow you to setup the instrument, recognise trends, export automatic report in Word (.docx format) and export data into Dataview (.dvb files).
