Description

Product Description:

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp is a powerful tool for quick and accurate testing of earth loops, regardless of their type. Its unique oblong head allows it to work seamlessly with all types of earth cables, bars, and straps. Whether you’re dealing with rectangular bars or cables, the CA6418 has you covered.

Key Features:

  • Wide Measurement Range: From 0.010 Ω to 1200 Ω, ensuring precise results across various scenarios.
  • Current Capability: Ranging from 0.5 mA to 20 A, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
  • Configurable Alarms: Set alarms for resistance (Ω) and current (A) thresholds.
  • Automatic Pre-Hold Mode: The clamp activates a “pre-Hold” function when opened, optimizing measurement processing.
  • Time-Stamped Measurements: Store up to 300 measurements with time and date stamps.
  • Automatic Calibration: The jaw gap is automatically calibrated at power-up.
  • Ergonomic Design: The OLED display provides 180-degree visibility in all lighting conditions.
  • Buzzer and Automatic Power-Off: Convenient features for ease of use.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter can be used to test for earth resistance in installations with multiple earths. The oblong-design of this clamp meter makes it suitable for checking earth cables, earth bars and earth straps, thereby improving the convenience and efficiency of testing. Its clamping capacity facilitates the measurement of cables with diameters of up to 32mm, as well as 30 x 40mm and 20 x 55mm bars; it also enables clamping around earth spikes in restricted spaces.

Also improving measurement ease and efficiency is the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter’s ability to measure and display earth resistance and leakage current. This instrument is able to measure current between 0.5mA and 20A and features a wide loop resistance measurement range: 0.010Ω to 1200Ω.

Additionally, it is possible to configure the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter to include leakage current and earth resistance alarms. Measurements can be stored with date and time stamps to the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter’s large internal memory. It is possible to save up to three-hundred date and time stamped readings. The inclusion of a real-time clock enables date and time stamping.

Measurements are indicated on an OLED display with 180°-visibility, ensuring that results are always easy-to-read despite lighting conditions. Furthermore, the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter’s Automatic Pre-Hold function also improves its ease-of-use as it will freeze the latest measurements to the display when the clamp is opened.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter includes other practical features such as automatic calibration of the jaw gap upon start-up, which is designed to optimise the processing of measurements. This ensures that the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter is able to determine accurate, repeatable results.

Additionally, this clamp meter includes an Automatic Power-Off function which conserves the Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp Meter’s battery life.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6418 Earth Clamp is supplied with a carry case and CL1 calibration loop. It is an ergonomic, efficient and easy-to-use earth clamp meter suitable for conducting quick earth resistance tests.

⏱ Dispatch & Delivery Timing

We aim to dispatch all in-stock orders promptly, but delivery depends on both when you order and which service you select.

  • UK orders: placed by 2:00 PM Monday–Friday are usually dispatched the same day.
  • International orders: placed by 2:00 PM Monday–Thursday are usually dispatched the same day.

Orders placed after these times are processed the next working day. This means delivery may occur the following day or later, depending on the courier and service selected.

Once dispatched, your chosen delivery service determines how quickly your parcel arrives:

  • Standard services We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DHL Parcel as our ‘Standard’ services. They are not guaranteed to arrive next working day.
  • Premium services (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL by Noon) offer guaranteed delivery windows.

If your order is time-sensitive, we strongly recommend choosing a guaranteed service or contacting us before ordering to confirm availability.

Please note: For logistical reasons, we may occasionally adjust the delivery method selected at checkout. For example, smaller items may be better suited to letterbox-friendly packaging or may be at greater risk of delay or loss via certain services. We actively monitor courier and postal service disruptions—including strikes and delays—and may modify shipping arrangements to help ensure timely and secure delivery.

📅 Busy Periods & Delays

We always aim to dispatch promptly, but delivery times may be affected by:

  • Seasonal demand (e.g. Christmas, bank holidays, or industry shutdowns)
  • Courier network delays outside our control
  • Supplier lead times or calibration requirements for certain equipment

If your delivery is time-critical, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm stock and courier availability.
