The PEL106 Portable Three-Phase Power and Energy Logger provides a convenient, cost-effective and altogether more capable solution to manage and optimize your energy consumption and savings. Rugged thanks to its IP67 all-terrain casing resistant to shock, UV light and high temperatures, the PEL106 can be transported anywhere. This Energy logger can be temporarily placed in distribution panels, or even around the premises, without difficulty and without the need to interrupt the mains supply or turn equipment off. No more battery problems, as the logger self-powers directly via the phase by means of the accessory included. With its wide measurement range, the PEL gathers data and calculates key electrical parameters such as three-phase current power and energy, along with phase angle, power factor, and harmonic levels.PEL106 is equipped with an Alarm mode which allows to the user to define limits and a list of events is recorded.
Because measurement campaigns often stretch over several days or weeks, it is important to check that the PEL is functioning correctly during this period.
Used with remote L452 loggers, the PEL106 can recording external parameters such as the temperature, pressure, engine torque, etc., and thus refine the analysis if you are troubleshooting malfunctions, for example. This function on the PEL106 is ideal for applications involving new energies such as wind (electrical energy linked to the strength of the wind).Left in place to collect data over a representative time period depending on your application (few minutes or days or weeks or month or years), the PEL106 is equipped with an SD card, capable of storing millions of readings, collected automatically over time. Ultra-communicating, these data can be retrieved locally or remotely via a USB, Ethernet connection, or via a wireless link Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or 3G/GPRS. The new 3G/GPRS mode of the PEL106 allows to insert a SIM card in the PEL for remote connection via a GSM 3G link.
The PEL Transfer software supplied with the PEL106 can be used to analyse the data recorded. On the basis of the power measurement campaigns performed, the software automatically decomposes the losses detected and directly calculates the cost of the power consumed and gives the result in the local currency selected. A dedicated ANDROID application can also be used to check that the PEL is operating correctly and to modify its configuration. This function enables measurements for applications on motors: rotation speed, torque and engine efficiency. No more need to add specific sensors in order to monitor a motor’s behaviour in real time.
