Description
The Fluke IRR1-SOL Irradiance Meter
The Fluke IRR1-SOL Irradiance Meter is a handheld tool that makes it easy to install, test, and maintain photovoltaic systems. It measures irradiance, temperature, inclination, and direction of the solar array in one device. It has a durable design, a protective case, and a high-contrast LCD screen. It meets the IEC 62446-1 standards for solar energy. It also has a compass and an inclination sensor to measure and document the orientation and tilt of the panels.
The IRR1-SOL can help you with:
- Designing and surveying photovoltaic systems. You can find the expected production and shading at a site by measuring the solar resource in peak sun hours.
- Measuring the performance of the system. You can check the electrical characteristics and the power output of the array by using the solar irradiance to calculate the IV curve.
- Comparing and diagnosing the system. You can troubleshoot any issues with the system by ensuring that it receives the correct amount of irradiance energy to generate the DC voltage for the inverter.
The IRR1-SOL is the ideal tool for every solar installer and technician.
Features & Benefits
• Inclination measurement feature lets you establish tilt to determine the best orientation
• Built-in compass means it’s simple to find the cardinal direction, for a full picture of site conditions
• High-contrast LCD screen makes results easy to read, even in direct sunlight
Applications
• Roof-mounted panels
• Large photovoltaic installations
How is this device powered?
This meter is powered by four AA alkaline batteries, which typically have a life of 50 hours or over 9,000 readings.
