The Kewtech KEW2003A is a powerful, high-current clamp meter designed for engineers working across modern electrical systems, including solar PV installations. With the capability to measure up to 2000A AC/DC, this meter is ideal for testing solar inverter outputs, PV array feed cables, battery storage systems, and DC strings found in today’s solar setups.
Solar PV systems often involve high-current, large-diameter cables. The KEW2003A solves this with its extra-large 55mm teardrop jaw, allowing you to clamp around thick PV conductors with ease. This makes it perfect for checking DC busbars, AC inverter feeds, combiner boxes, and battery system outputs — all without disconnecting or disturbing the circuit.
Alongside high-current measurement, it also delivers solar-friendly voltage testing up to 1000V DC — ideal for modern high-voltage string inverters — and up to 750V AC for grid-tied systems. Resistance measurement and continuity testing add further versatility for diagnostics and commissioning.
