Description
The Martindale Legionnaires’ Temperature Kit allows the user to check whether temperature conditions in water systems are conducive to legionella bacteria, thereby posing a risk of Legionnaire’s disease. The thermometer is the Martindale DT73 Single-Channel Thermometer that can work with a range of type K probes to measure temperature between -200˚C and 1372˚C. The backlit digital display clearly shows readings and min/max recording and data hold are also possible with the thermometer. The user can toggle between ˚C and ˚F and the resolution varies between 0.1˚ and 1˚.
The Martindale Legionnaires’ Kit comes with two different temperature probes. Firstly the TT6K penetration probe can be used to measure temperature within liquids – including water – from -50˚C to 250˚C. The TT8K surface probe, meanwhile, has a spring-loaded tip for measuring surface temperature, for example on pipes. It has a temperature range of -50˚C to 600˚C. Legionella bacteria typically thrive between 25˚C and 45˚C so these probes are ideal for checking for these temperatures throughout a system.
All of the components of the Martindale Legionnaires’ Temperature Kit are supplied in a handy carry case and the set constitutes a great option for temperature testing and monitoring water according to legal guidelines.
