The Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS PAT Tester is the intermediate model in Kewtech’s range of EZYPAT/ SMARTPAT PAT Testers. For more information regarding this range please see the comparison table detailed under the ‘Technical Specifications’.
The Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS PAT Tester is a portable, ergonomic, lightweight PAT tester ideal for examining Class I and Class II appliances as well as extension leads. It is battery operated and can perform up to approximately 1400 tests before its batteries begin to expire.
The EZYPAT-PLUS’ easy-to-read, large, backlit display turns green when a test is passed and red when one is failed. This clear indication adds to the Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS PAT Tester’s practicality and efficiency, as does its clearly labelled function keys which allow the user to run automatic test sequences tailored to Class I or Class II appliances or extension leads.
Like its sister product, the EZYPAT, the Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS PAT Tester can perform the following tests:
- 200mA earth continuity tests (IT safe)
- Appliance status pre-check (can be used to check whether the appliance under investigation is on or off)

Like the EZYPAT, this PAT tester is IT safe as a result of its capacity for low current earth continuity tests and 250V DC insulation tests. Similarly, it also features a Test Lead Nulling function for accuracy. However; unlike the Kewtech EZYPAT, this model can perform leakage tests at 110V and 230V making it suitable for testing appliances that need to be powered on in order to be tested fully, i.e. appliances like computers and TVs which feature electronic on/off switches.
The Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS PAT Tester is supplied with an EZYLEAD extension Lead Adapter; EZYEARTH Earth Continuity Test Lead with Probe and Crocodile Clip, and an EZYMAIN Mains Lead. These accessories ensure that the user can easily tailor the Kewtech EZYPAT-PLUS to perform the necessary tests.
