Description

The Metrel EVSE Test Pro Kit is an advanced option for those looking to undertake work on electric vehicle charging points as well as other electrical installations. It features the advanced Metrel MI3152 Eurotest XC Multifunction Tester and a Metrel A1532 EVSE Adaptor. The Metrel EVSE Pro kit features the MI3152XC-ST Standard Set supplied with the A1532 EVSE Adaptor. In addition to all standard accessories, the MI3152XC-ST Standard kit includes the A1401 Tip Commander Probe, S2026 20m earth test kit with spikes and Metrel MESM PC Software.

Metrel MI3152 EurotestXC-ST Standard Set

The Metrel MI3152 Eurotest XC is one of Metrel’s most advanced instruments, featuring a wide range of tests plus intuitive operation and smart functionality. The testing facilities on the Metrel MI3152 make it suitable for all manner of electrical contractors. It is capable of testing continuity on inductive loads (7mA) and R1+R2 or R2 (200mA) as well as insulation resistance with test voltages from 50V to 1000V DC.

Loop and line impedance testing is also possible and various types of RCDs can be tested (general, selective, type AC, A, F, B and B+). Finally, measurement functions include leakage current, TRMS voltage, phase rotation, frequency, and light/lux levels (ideal for checking emergency lighting). Aside from its advanced testing capabilities, the Metrel MI3152 also boasts intuitive operation via a vibrant colour touchscreen. Built-in help screens offer advice to the user and fully updated BS7671 tables allow the tester to provide a PASS/FAIL indication for loop test measurements. It is possible to programme specific test sequences and the large internal memory is downloadable via Bluetooth or USB to a PC for further analysis.

Metrel A1532 EVSE Adaptor

The Metrel A1532 Electric Vehicle Charging Point Adaptor allows the user to test both the functionality and the safety of a charging point when used in conjunction with the Metrel MI3152 MFT. It enables the user to simulate the effect of a vehicle attached to a charging point in various charging states. One of the most important aspects of the adaptor is that there is no need to disassemble the charging point to test all of the various aspects.

A particularly useful feature of the Metrel EVSE Pro-Kit is the Metrel MI3152’s automated test sequence which can be used along with the Metrel A1532. This tests the charging point on a comprehensive state-by-state basis at the push of a button. The MFT’s type B RCD test function is also particularly useful for testing charging points.
