The Primetest 250 Plus is a battery powered and downloadable PAT tester with testing capabilities that fully satisfied the latest edition of the IEE Code of Practice. With a comprehensive range of electrical tests, an internal memory capable of storing 999 results and full Seaward Test n Tag Printer compatibility this PAT tester is efficient, powerful and highly versatile.

Updated to be fully compliant with the 5th edition of the IET Code of Practice, the PrimeTest 250 Plus includes functions such as:

• Selectable Pass/Fail values for earth continuity (0.1, 0.2, 0.3Ω)
• Long lead test
• New test for Class 1 equipment with no exposed parts
• Test sequence for Class 2 FE equipment
• Pass/Fail limit of 5mA for all Earth Leakage tests in line with 5th edition

The PrimeTest 250 Plus PAT Tester updated for the 5th edition of the IET Code of Practice is compact, battery powered and handheld. It features an impressive datalogging facility which allows users to store & download up to 999 results in CSV format or in the supplied datalogging software. Alternatively the data can also be downloaded into Seaward’s PATGuard 3 software for creating professional PAT reports and certificates. Test results are saved by the press of a button and are downloaded onto a PC using a standard USB lead. Notably all test results are time and date stamped for traceability purposes.

Not only does the Seaward Primetest 250 perform Earth Continuity and Insulation tests, it also incorporates a variety of other useful electrical test functions. Including mains powered tests such as Earth Leakage, Protective Conductive Current and RCD Trip Time testing using the supplied mains lead. This means that the tester complies fully to any testing requirements detailed within the IEE Code of Practice while remaining small and portable.

The Primetest 250+ is furthermore one of the very few PAT testers on the market that can run mains operated tests on 3-Phase appliances using optional Seaward TPA 3-Phase Adaptors. It can be used in conjunction with the Seaward Test n Tag Pro printer via a serial cable and prints a 52 x 25mm PAT label at the end of the test sequence thus speeding up your testing procedure. The Seaward Primetest 250+ requires no set up and is ready to use straight out of the box.

Please note that the tester will not provide a facility to enter appliance information into the tester against the PAT results. This would need to be done after downloading within the software package where the PAT results are downloaded into.

Comprehensive Range of Electrical Tests

Capable of performing all testing procedures as required by the IET Code of Practice, this PAT tester gives quick, easy access to all testing functions via dedicated testing buttons on the front of the tester.

The PrimeTest 250 Plus can test it all – use it to test:

• 3 phase leakage current (requires 3 phase adaptor)

• RCD (30mA and 150mA) and power socket tests

• Test for Class 1 equipment with no exposed parts and a Class 2 FE test sequence to coincide with the new equipment class included in the 5th edition.

You can use the PT250+ to test both class I and class II appliances (including IT equipment), IEC leads and extension leads and – via the use of adaptors (sold separately) – this tester is also suitable for testing 110V and 415V (3 phase) equipment.

Manage Your Testing Records with Fully Downloadable Memory Storage

The PrimeTest 250 Plus can store up to 999 individual appliance testing records in its internal memory. When you’ve tested something, simply press the single save key and the record will be stored, time/date stamped ready for further use.

When you’re done testing for the day, connect your PrimeTest 250+ up to your PC using a USB cable and download the records directly onto your computer.

The PrimeTest 250+ is one of the few downloadable PAT testers which includes its download utility as standard – records are downloaded into standard CSV format, compatible with leading spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel.

For those who require professional reports and certificates, you can also opt to purchase Seaward’s PATGuard Elite 3 software which gives you a comprehensive database of PAT records, allows you to schedule inspections and tests and create reports etc.

Seamless Plug & Print with the Optional Test n Tag Pro Serial Printer

Use the PrimeTest 250 Plus with the Test n Tag Pro Serial Printer (sold separately and available in kit versions of the PT250+) to create professional, low cost inspection and testing labels as you’re testing.

The Test n Tag Pro is designed to seamlessly work with the PT250+’s memory storage capabilities; just connect up the printer when testing and hit the print button when you’re ready to print out your label.

Every label roll for the Test n Tag Pro has over 400 labels, ensuring you can test a large amount of appliances before replacing at a later date.
